Hi everyone'

Many thanks for your varied and entertaining replies, there a lot of good info in there which will be a great help when I go looking for my RV in the Spring.

I have been surfing the net for over a year for RVs pending my forthcoming retirement. One particilar site I like is 'dreamsrv.co.uk', has anyne had any dealings with them or know anything about them? They seem to have a good selection of used RVs to suit all pockets and I am particularly taken with their 26ft Georgie Boy Pursuit at £21,500 and also the 30ft Winnebago Brave at £18,500, both within my budget. The Pursuit seems a great bargain with an excellent interior layout for a 'small' RV. and only 8 years old!

Please keep those comments coming, it's nice to know there are so many friendly people out there.

Thanks all and happy Christmas and New Year.

Loads of good info here. I've just bought my first RV which, as it happens is my first 'proper' motorhome. It is a 32' Holiday Rambler Endeavor. The reason I went for that particular brand is that it was available at the right time at the right price and it had the layout and key features I needed. You need to carefully think about what features you couldn't live without. For example, one of the must have's for me is leveling jacks. I'll be using mine mostly for towing my racing car to various UK race circuits. The paddock is almost always hard finished, but often unlevel. The biggest benefit though has to be the full size queen bed in the rear. I can just arrive at a circuit, turn off the engine and go to sleep, no faffing or set up.

However, the main reason I decided to go for a US RV is that you just get sooooo much more for your money than you do in a european equivalent. The only down side is that you get US decor too!!! Nice.

I'll let you all know how I get on!
