Hi Noel. Thats very strange. I upgraded to 6.15 on my TT700, but I didn't lose anything. It did "freeze" which is common but a pin in the reset hole sorted that and everything was back to normal but could now input co-ordinates.

Hi Sid,

I upgraded to the latest 6.520 via TT home and as with you it also froze needing a pin reset but I lost everything which is not stored in a separate file ie favorites, recent destinations, time, compass/screen setups etc etc. POI's are ok, I have had to re-enable and re-notify them but in this case the gain is better than the pain and I have now put all my "favorite" locations which were mainly friends and relatives into a POI category of that title so that any further upgrades should leave that .ov2 file intact.

I have bluetooth headsets as well but am always forgetting them or they fail to pair when you most need them.

I constantly have the same trouble between my Anycom Bluetooth headset and Sony Ericsson T630 phone where they pair at the start of the journey/session but then lose the link at any time even though the distance between them is constant between shirt pocket and ear!

Gerald. Another option to speakers is to have a pair of mini wireless headphones so that you shut out all the road noise. I found a cheap set in a garage once £9-99 I think that came with so many gallons of juice. You have a little sender unit that plugs into a headphone jack on any tv, pc, radio etc. The headphones as well as picking up that signal have a built in FM radio that you can use anywhere. Both units work off two AAA Rechargeable batteries. The sound quality is almost as good as the normal wireless phones you can pick up in currys etc that cost £30 + I take the headphones alone just for the radio when Im going fishing or doing a job somewhere, stations are limited but always pick up BBC radio 1,2,3,4 and any local stations. Ive seen the same ones on the internet somewhere slightly dearer but cant remember where.

Headphones for a driver are illegal, I believe; single earpiece only. Sorry if I've missed the gist of the problem.

Never heard of that one dave. Mind they make up these rules as they go along to suit themselves I think. What about all the people who use I pods and the like, you see them everywhere including driving.

Hi I upgraded to 6.52 and have longitude & latitude facility - only problem for me is entering a minus as some english sites in my camping cheques book show a minus value for some of the longitudes.

Hi all, after reading (with interest) your trials & tribulations of upgrading your "TT's" I decided to try mine.
Downloaded latest software, made backup, loaded new software & hey presto, can now input longs & lats.
As a few people said I had to reset ,but I don't seem to have lost any information........YET.
Thanks to all.
