Just taken out insurance with Comfort Insurance which is mentioned on this site.
I was very happy with the quote, they were very friendly and helpful on the phone - which is what you want when someone is taking money off you lol.
Talbot Express 2.5 diesel 1989 G plate 12000 mile per annum UK and Europe, same useage as car, also including RAC UK and Europe cover,
for both the wife and I to drive - cost £354.47.

When I phoned the RAC, if I have got this right, they wanted £75 on top of my normal cover plus I had to have membership of Caravan and Camping Club to get the same cover.

Comfort Insurance 020 8984 0777

One very happy newbie

we tried comfort too cos of the ads on this site but they were not very helpful - wanted us to keep van on approved site and nearest is 40 miles away! Local broker was hopeless (though very nice about it). Lowest I could find was over £600.
Got the best quote from camping and caravan club, who also insured my car cheaper than any other quote. Got 1992 left had drive fiat ducato 2.5 diesel, and my D reg SAAB, fully comp, with loads of cover including overnight accommodation if breakdown in Europe and automatic euro cover, and £2000 contents, for 295 for van and 241 for car (no excess on them either Very Happy ). WOW!! Very Happy
