We are planning to visit France May 07 and wondered if any body had visited Futuroscope. We visited Puy du Fou in 06 and wondered if it was the same sort of thing. Also is there m/h parking there for overnight. The Futuroscope website quotes parking costs for 24 hours but wondered if this was for m/hs or for the people visiting the onsite hotels. All advice would be appreciated

Hi, we've visited Futuroscope twice. There is easy access from the autoroute, with a campsite almost alongside the autoroute, a couple of minutes from Futuroscope. I'm not sure about motorhome facilities though as we had a caravan at that time. Well worth a visit, enjoy.

Hi 2dreamers,

We were there 2 yrs ago and what a fantastic time it was, you have to see the lazer display in the evening…awesome.

As for motor home parking, we were in a hotel at the time but there were plenty of motor homes and caravans parked in the camping section.

Must get back there sometime with my van this time, I did a google of the camping at Futuroscope and came up with this

Thank you both for the replies. We were worried that it might be aimed at the young kids but I'm sure us older kids will enjoy. Have looked at campsite via the link and it looks great. Ta very much.

Hi,
We had our second visit there last year. There is an excellent motorhome park on site, there is a charge but I think it is only a few Euros for 24hours. They also have a dog pound where you can leave your dog while visiting the park. We found the best way was to arrive in the morning, about 9.00am and park up, get everything ready for bed and head for the park entrance for the 10.00am opening time. Then when you come back after a long day, and watching the evening laser spectacle (which doesn't finish till 10.30pm), you can just fall straight into bed. Then you can be up and away before 9.00am the next day to save another parking fee. Futuroscope itself is good for old and young, but plan your day as it is difficult to see everything as some of the attractions run at set times.

Went to Futuroscope in May, after touring Loire valley.

For Futuroscope we stayed at Parc de Loisir St Cyr just a few miles north. A clean, pleasant (and cheap) site with serviced pitches facing large lake with nice beach. A number of locals use the beach for sunbathing and swimming.

Could advise anyone to try it

When we were there, there were 6 adults and 7 children...guess who had the most fun Smile all the adults really enjoyed it there.

The clue is in the name Futuroscope, very interesting and done with style and imagination. Smile

You'll love it Smile
