I have just got a MIO 510E sat nav but cannot workout out how to load my own POI files ( aires etc) onto it. I have plenty of space on the fitted SD card.Any help appreciated.

Hi PaulSue

I do not have a Mio 510e but I am familiar with many Sat navs ... so I am sorry to have to tell you that as far as I know importing custom POI is not a feature of the Mio 510e.

It seems that it can be done if you are into "hacking", as in this

It also seems that there was a suggestion that Mio may upgrade the sofware to allow Custom POIs ... I do not know whether this has happened or not. Try searching the

We use a Mio 710, and as far as I know, none of the range allow anything but official updating-one of the only drawbacks we have yet found with it!!
