That's cheap, Peter. Is it a complete kit? Does it include a receiver box as well?

Looks good and saw similar 12 volt one in maplins.

One thing about makro is their great return policy.

The DVD recorder with hard disk looks good @ £99.99 (+ VAT Rolling Eyes ) - when I was looking recently, I think this type of thing would give us the best solution to a 'record a program and watch it later' operation, as opposed to wanting to make a DVD of something. Is it something to do with having to 'complete' or 'finish' a DVD before it can be used? I know you can get rewriteable DVDs, but I think a hard disk version would be easier? I don't know about this stuff.

I have the Panasonic DVD and HDD recorder with Freeview Gerald, it has a 200gb hard disc and can store 355 hours of footage if needed.

I have found it a superb machine which I bought in November 2005, it is easy to operate (as the wife will hold testamony!) and has been invaluable in use.

I can record in HDD and later dub onto DVD if I want to keep it, twas not cheap but I consider it was worth every penny (well pounds!!!)

I got a second Panasonic DVD recorder for upstairs so I can swap discs around, they also use DVD RAM as well which is far superior to DVD+

Was going to try and find a cheap player for the van but the 12 volt ones are very expensive so I will use the lap top instead.
