In April we shall be taking our first trip with our MH to France via Calais. We shall be crossing mid afternoon and want to drive for hour or so towards Reims (not necessarily using A26).

Can anyone suggest good "aires" or other camping sites for first night?

We shall be travelling on next day towards Geneva and would also welcome suggestions for a second night stop-over.

Hi Freeto and welcome to mhf.

Aires are a bit thin on the ground in this area between calais and reims.

We stayed at Camping viviers aux carpes at serraucort le grand near st quentin a few years back, it was ok for a night stop then...

There is an aire in the centre of Reims but its 170 mls away.

Hopefully someone will come along with more options for you.
