Since I left my main computer at home I have discovered that my laptop will not "speak" to my PDA. Have run Active Syn. on other computers and the same error message comes up. Could not connect and an error message that does I cannot find on any support web site for HP. The laptop senses that there is a mobile device connected but cannot access the laptop with windows explorer.Would the installation disc have failed or is there a problem with pairing my PDA with another computer.

Pairing can be a bit finicky especially with the early editions of active sync.
The latest build is 4.1 and this seems to be more robust. In the past when I have had problems I have removed the PDA from my PC, rebooted the PC and when it has fully run up plugged in the PDA. It usually syncs ok then.
