Hi All
Great news we finally got our Motorhome.
Its parked safely in our garden. The only problem is we had an alarm fitted which has basically gone off all night for the past 2 nights. So we are very stressed due to lack of sleep.
Contacted the dealer on the first morning who suggested we were not setting it correctly so went through it with us on the phone. It went off about 55 minutes later and continued to do so at various intervals through the night.
Contacted the dealer again this morning by 5.30 when no one had made any effort to sort the problem out I phoned and went mad!
Result an offer to collect the van this evening and return it to the dealer so that it was there first thing in the morning only problem with that is
We are getting married in the morning!
Will take it in on monday to be checked over but all in all not a good start!
Regards
Donna David and Lily
Good luck for tomorrow hope the weather is kind.
I had trouble with my alarm keep going off. I traced it to the bonnet alarm button not seating properly. When you set it does it give you the normal beeps or flashes and have you had look in your manual?
Have a great day and happy travels wherever and whenever you go.

Well congratulations on getting a new Motorhome.
Congratulations and best wishes on the big day tomorrow also.
Its a shame that you are having problems with the alarm system, so hope it gets sorted quickly. A faulty alarm is something that would make you very irritable, not to mention making you unpopular with the neighbours.
re the alarm, we found it was the fan heater inside setting it off on the movement sensor. So the answer was to set it without energising that particular zone.
A lot of alarms will tell you by some sort of code whuch zone has been activated so you would then know wether it was a movement ( heater or wind or dog inside) or a switch (bonnet or locker) the book (or the dealer)ought to tell you all that.
We do also have a great big steering wheel cover and a factory immoblilser, so if we have several layers of protection ( although the alarm is an insurance requirement.
Best thing you can do is about 5.00o'clock tomorrow afternoon just get in and go and dont leave it unattended, ever!
Are you closing the front curtains in your motorhome and then locking it up and setting the alarm. The curtains set off the inside motion detectors, which are located at either side of the windscreen. Movement of the curtains either by a draught or van movement caused by wind is a very common reason for alarms to go off.
Either leave the curtains open, or set the alarm so the interia movement detectors are switched off.
