Sounds great,

do you prefer that trip or do you enjoy scenery.
We recently went to South dakota/Wyoming. fabulous mountain scenery, wonderful RV camp sites with trout streams etc. We were on a coach at the time but really wanted to stay on one of these sites.

This time last year we were doing the same thing, the places you want to visit are amazing, don't miss Lake Tahoe, Virginia City and we could go on. We did it in a luxury 4WD but a Motorhome would be our option next time. Although Our 13 Year Old wouldn't get to drive that through the desert like he did the 4WD. LOL

Always check reversing your itinery with the motorhome company. We were looking at Vancouver to Banff through one company and found a little area of the website. 'Returns' They offered a 6 Birth Motorhome from Bannf to Vancouver for FREE you just had 8 Days to get it there. Probably a fluke but often they need to get one ways back to the main centre.

Good Luck on your planning.

What time of year are you considering? Gets a bit cold in the mountains in the winter! Even in May when we went to Vegas & Grand canyon a few years back it was cold at the Canyon compared with 60 miles down the road.

You've got to do the Canyon, though - we were only there for 2 days (in a car, staying at one of the lodges) - there were loads of RV's there - special parking etc. When we retire (!) we'll do some touring with an RV on a long visit to our son & family in LA. Smile

We have seen the Grand Canyon both from the Air and The Ground and we must say with all honesty NOTHING beats the ground. We thought it would be otherwise but were happily surprised. Must have Hot Chocolate by the Roaring Fire at the little place at the end of the road.

We were last there in Jan/Feb so we had Snow and Cold at the Canyon, we stayed at a motel in Williams and had a -18 degrees one night. Brrrrr!

Hi cobaltkoala
Do you have details of this company/website.
We might want to hire for a week in late July.

Roger

We hired a 30 foot Winnebago Sightseer from Moturis. It was in excellent condition and very thoroughly cleaned but VERY sparsely equipped. Even with the convenience pack it
