We were concerned about the payment to France Passion as ther web site isn't secure for credit cards and it costs to do a bank transfer. I emailed them and got a very quick reply. They are happy with a sterling cheque for Ģ19 50.
Hope this helps someone as we were considering just putting euros in an envelope and hoping for the best.

I have just tried a dummy order and you are right there is no secure symbol there now but when I did my renewal early December there was and both of us double checked before we did the order. I even posted about it somewhere not sure which forum it was now. So play safe and send a cheque or do as I did last year and pay by credit card by post. Maybe one you dont use very often so anything wrong is noticed quickly.

We have set up a separate bank account solely for making internet purchases.
We just transfer whatever amount is required from our main account to the internet one before buying, that way if anything does go wrong, the most we will lose is the cost of that transaction.
We can transfer the money between accounts over the phone, so there is no hassle going back and forth to the bank.
