If its space and comfort you want and have £30k to spend why not have a look at a C Class American RV. Yes they are big but they dont have to be (there are some nice 24 foot models). The comfort and standard items put European M/H to shame and make them look like something from the dark ages (ever seen a slide out in a European?? Didn't think so!!) I have seen a great floor plan which has a double end bedroom and a pair of bunkbeds to the side but i cant remember offhand who makes it. When i remember i will put a link on here. The left hand drive bit isn't that much of a problem as a lot of European models are also LHD.

We searched and search for a M/H to suit us but couldn't find "the one". We went to USA on holiday and just out of curiosity stopped at a dealers on the way to Disney. Found 6 we liked and suited us in less than 30 mins!! The rest is history now the very proud owner of a 2005 31 foot long Fourwinds Chateau with 6000 miles on the clock for about the kind of money you are looking at spending. MPG is a concern but realistically how many miles a year will you do??

don't dismiss RVs they have a lot to offer but be warned once you try one you may never look at another European M/H in the same way again!!

Good luck with your search

we also have a euramobil 810 with twin beds at the back and an overcab. we have 3 kids but only 2 children who now come away with us. one is 9 and the other is now 14 months (eldest has grown up and would rather go away with friends!). this works well for us as we have no beds to make up and still have the large rear garage. we have a samsonite bubble travel cot on one of the beds and also a bed guard for extra safety. the little one sleeps better in this than at home and i would definately recommend them. she is walking but is still very secure in this cot and it fits neatly under the overhead lockers.
