Note - virtually everything in the shop has two prices - one for Joe Public and a cheaper price for their Club Members. It costs £4 to join. When I was buying my stuff, they just gave me the card.
Also, don't rule out shops like Poundland and 99p Stores for all the little extras. I bought loads of large plastic containers for in the boot.

First thing to get is a macerator (a must IMHO) from http://www.statesidetuning.co.uk/ who can supply a lot of the pricier bit for the waterworks side. The macerator helps you dump you black and grey waste easily.
For plates and all that gear go to poundland and other cheapie shops and you'll save a packet on all this sort of unbreakable gear for the kitchen. Camping shops will load these sort of item by 400% usually (but its business I suppose)
Don't rush to buy non essential as you will buy stuff you never need otherwise and a lot you can by when you discover you really need it.
Without doubt, the best way to equip a M/H is to go along to one of the show rallies.
At Peterborough there should be about 250 traders trying to sell you everything from RVs to tent pegs so a better selection than anywhere else in the UK. They're all competing on price too so often there are some good bargains to be had. Add to that a natter with all your pals from MHF and why would you go anywhere else?
