I think you will find this quite normal for insurance companies, not just Safeguard

Cancellled policies are good earners

Its the same with most insurers unless you pay by instalments , but then they load the premium so they get you either way.

I used to insure my motorbike by installments because it was garaged over the winter and I dropped the cover down to fire and theft , but with a different insurer as it was cheaper. That way I didn't loose any premium and only paid for the actual cover period.

Unfortunatly you will never find out how good your insurance is until you make a claim. My MH last year was loaded so I cancelled and tried to shop elsewhere, after realising that the deal was about as good as it gets with the origional, I returned and obtained a £75 new business discount!
I think they think of a number, add the date in and thats your premium!
Unlucky if you call at the end of a month!.
Regards Malc

Hi Kentucky

I have insured with Safeguard for over 10 years now, and every year on renewal I shop around for quotes but no one ever beats them.

In the past I have had 2 accidents and each time they handled the claim promptly and always to my 100% satisfaction.

So I dont think anyone should have anything to beware off - the exact opposite is true.

Regards

Wiggy1
