Hi to all, this is a fantastic website, wish i had found it earlier!!

My partner and i have have just purchased a 31' Winnebago Brave RV (hence the title of the post) which we are going to go full time in, at the end of 2005, but taking the next 18 months to learn the ropes...

Thanks in advance to anyone who answers stupid questions for me!

Hi Alex.

A very hearty welcome to this group of very friendly people.

I don't know whether I'm good at answering stupid questions but I'm pretty good at giving stupid answers. Smile

So you decided to get a tiny one to test the water... Good thinking. Try and stay off the M25 otherwise there will not be room for anyone else.

Hope you have some really happy times in the Wini and I cannot for the life of me think how you could have any other sort of times in that.

I was going to get a big one but it was such a long way to walk to the bedroom.

A warm welcome, AlexJ.

I just wish that I'd had a Winnebago when I started motorhoming.

I suppose my first trip was in 1961 with my father to Yugoslavia in an Austin Mini-Van! I was in the military then, and we weren't even sure if we'd be let into the country (Communist+Tito=Visa). We had two sunloungers (top folded over) in the back, with boxes under for clothes, water, food and a CampingGaz stove - and that was it! Not a real motorcaravan, I know. How we've moved on (still dreaming of a Winnebago, though).

How did you decide on the Winnie?

Barry

Hi thanks everyone for the warm welcome.

Why did i choose the Winnie!!!

Honest answer it has always been a life long dream to own one, also i can get a lot more for my money compared to what was available in the uk, please don't take offense by that anyone.

The weirdest thing was that after loking at maybe a good dozen motorhomes which were all over the country which mostly complete poopers, i ended up buying one which was only a few miles away from where i lived!

Also just by pure coincidence i rang the advertiser out the magazine i bought and i transpired i had known him for around 20 years!!!

Looked at the motorhome and it was like brand new, which considering it was 9 years old, i thought was a fantastic buy!!

And the rest the say is history, well saying that i don't pick it up till the this thursday!!!
