That is exactly what we are doing now. A lot of the problems appear to be theme related so all efforts are now going into getting the new theme up to scratch asap.
As an FYI, the great one has spoken (dave ) the final theme will be the one that is the default for the site now (T-Platinum), but the contrast/font colours etc will be changed around hopefully making it a little less "bland" and all the bugs will be hunted down and squished with a big pair of size 12's!!!

Stuart & Nuke. I think, considering the drastic circumstances we found ourselves in with 'the crash', you are doing amazing things to get us back as a community. I believe there are still literally 000's of our old and recent new members who probably haven't sussed out how to 'get back in the fold'. Hopefully they will all manage to return.

Bloody great to see the return of a similar format we're all used to on the homepage (list of recent posts etc), imo this is the way forward, people will always relate to similar formats and something they are used to, it will make it easier to understand for people returning to the fold.
What u need next is that familiar orangey/yellow glow to the site just like before, then we'll really feel at home......

As the posts since last visit isnt working I used the 'Posts in last 24hrs' instead this brought up 66posts over two pages, however when you click on 'Page 2' it comes up with the error message
No topics or posts met your search criteria
Just like the Posts since last visit.

I think I posted a workaround for the posts since last visit problemsomewhere, can't remember where though.
Anyway if you bookmark the following link and when visiting the site hit that page first it should work as expected, but if you refresh or hit the site on another page first it won't work properly. (a timestamp is getting updated somewhere where it shouldn't be but is a tough one to track down).
Parse error: parse error, unexpected '<' in /home/mhadmin/public_html/header.php on line 96.
got this message and had to use the 'back button' works now though. Mysterious
