Hi everyone,

I'm new here, found the site using a web search. I don't actually own a van yet, but my girlfriend and I are seriously thinking about getting one, possibly to live in for 6 months to a year or so.

If the above plan goes ahead, we'll need some advice, so this looked like the best place to start. I'll post a few more details once I've had a poke around.

If this forum is as friendly as the one I use for my car, then I hope I can stick around!

Thanks
Chris

Hi Chris and welcome.

The folk here_are_friendly and probably more friendly than than those on the site you use for your car. (Well I would say that wouldn't I? Smile )
You should find much of the information you seek on these boards.

As for your signature, the box in the profile does seem to be very sensitive to the number of letters etc used to generate the finished product.
Try cutting it back then building it up gradually using a dummy mail and the preview facility. Well, that's what I did when I was having problems!

Hi Gillian,

thanks for the welcome!

I'll have a play with the signature thingy when I get a bit more time ... or when my boss isn't watching.

We're selling our house at the moment, and hoping to spend some of the proceeds on a van that we can live in for a while, then return to the UK and sell it again, hopefully not getting too horribly stung in the process (happy to accept the fact of some depreciation, but nothing too hideous, we hope).

Both myself and my girlfriend are fed up with working all the hours we get and never having any time to do anything, so we're going to try and take some time out.

I think the you peeps might be able to advise about some of the things that a total newbie like me might not appreciate until it's too late!

Chris

Hi Ming, big welcome to the gang. We hope you enjoy our company as much as we'll surely enjoy yours. Any questions . . . just ask away. BTW the site has a search facility (which I'm sure you knew) suggest you do a few searches on topic you are interested in, saves us going over old ground. Again welcome to the forums and enjoy. Cheers, Jeffus. Cool

Welcome, Ming (the Merciless?) - good to have you with us. And a couple of great sites you have.

Look forward to you getting the 'right' 'van for you, so that you can really enjoy motorhoming.

Barry
