Thanks Drums for bumping it up. Couldn't find your wicked pic of Polzeath harbour as i hasn't got one. There are two Pozeaths. One is called Polzeath and the other one a mile away called New Polzeath. Perhaps its the new one or I have lost the plot completely.

Many thanks Hubs Rap and Ed for kind comments. There are a couple more sections of other trips in the same section of equal stupidity which you may want to read in times of acute boredom.

Anyone new to MHF you really must not miss this superbly written and side splittingly entertaining account of Pusser's maiden voyage to France.
Also those of you who like me have been looking at the forum for ..... cripes! ...... nearly two years without having read this ..... believe me it is worth as much as all the useful tips I have found on here put together, which in no way means I have not gleaned about 50 times worth my subscription !!!
Thanks Pusser for a read that was more worth the £7 than 7 out of 10 travel novels I have read ( no I am not sending you a cheque but my bar will be open all hours with free unlimited drinks for you when I have the pleasure of meeting you at a rally )
Thanks also to Trevorf for telling me about the post and helping me find it.

Happy travels one and all, and happy reading...... be sure to have the kleenex ready and go to the loo ( or Thetford ) first !

By the way.... as my question to Trevorf ( on phone not here ) was initially about Blogs ...... could I be so bold as to, on behalf of those of us less talented at trawling the forums, ask some kind hearted and 'IT' talented soul to do a bit of housework in the Blogs and remove all the ones that are just a question or a blank page and then add all the gems like Pusser's story which I would never have found without my MHFaholic friend Trevor.

Well I Think Pusser should write a book, His observations and humour are second to none. if he wants a proof reader...will be there.....at a price.

Do you remember the red triangle Channel 4 used to put on before dodgy programmes? Something similar should be put on before Pusser's postings. I laughed so hard the tears ran down my legs!!

I thought I had already read some of your blogs Pusser, but in fact I have only this afternoon read this one.

Well there is something of the "Blott" about this me thinks.

Except that it is funnier still, as we can all so readily relate to the MH and "Brit abroad" part of your tales.

Very many thanks, and could someone please make a diary note to bump this up at least once a year, say in Jan or Feb.

Probably best read during the dull and darker months, as this tale can surely brighten anyone's day, as easily as the author is capable of covering himself in "glory".

I was supposed to be resarching our Summer Holiday while the other half and kids watched Holby City. Needless to say I ruined Holby by laughing out loud, crying, snorting and generally breaking down on the floor. I am now alone, kids in bed (looking at me strangely en route) and fiance now in bed without a goodnight. One day they will understand when they read it!

Pusser, bless you. Just when I was beginning to think the motorhoming world was full of oddballs I realise it's actually full of ordinary folk with a tale to tell. Try writing something like that with a Spanish timeshare!

So I now wipe my eyes, shut down and wonder if my family will ever speak to me again.....still worth it methinks.

I bet that looking at those gold and silver prices is helping with your bowel movements at the moment. Very good though.
