Well, Pollensa needs a bit of a spruce up outside (interior spotless) but as our lovely Kent area has only just had hosepipe ban lifted and there are rumours it will be back on again soon we thought we had better get going on a spring clean.
I am a bit worried about what products are safe to use on her though and would appreciate any tips or advice of what to use or not to use. Roof is looking the most in need of a sweep up and clean, mostly dust & dirt, but nothing major. Van is parked on our drive all the time so thankfully does not get caked in mud etc.
If it isn't too expensive we may take her to nearest dealer for a valet but still waiting to hear back from them

there will be as many answers as there are members, as cleaning is so subjective. I prefer a long soft brush used with Autoglym motorhome cleaner for washing and streak removal, and, their resin polish for waxing, both products are easy to use, relatively cheap and available widely

Hi Noel, I am sure you are right about the different options and thanks for your recommendation. I have heard of Autoglym but for the life of me could not remember the name so thanks for that!
Whereabouts in Dublin are you? Richard (hubby) was working out there for 2 years and based in Ballsbridge at the time although we rented a place out near Malahide for the last year. Would have stayed but unfortunately it didn't work out - workwise. My own family are all down in Tipp & Waterford area. Hope to be over visiting them soon.

Long handled brush and Fenwicks motorhome shampoo followed by Bobby Dazzler occasionally is what I use, and the poor old van does have to drive through some pretty disgusting 'mud' on the farm

Getting seriously into this cleaning malarky. The new Disco is black so I have to be careful how I go about cleaning.
Joined a forum that does what the professionals call 'detailing' a new concept for me in vehicle cleaning. More of that at a later date on another thread!
However, as I am away this weekend I want to wash the Winnie on Friday and did a search on the site and found this 'detail' on an old MH that you may find of interest:
The foam gun is an amazing product. I use the Gilmour and attach it to the hose. I put in a 'snow foam' that looks exactly like that and is left for 5 - 10 minutes. Hosed off, then the cleaning is done with a sheepskin mitten and a two bucket system. One with cleaner and one for rinsing!

I would definitely recommend Fenwicks products, especially their Bobby Dazzler to prevent subsequent re-soiling too quick. If your 'van has a gel-coat then look in a boat chandlers for the appropriate cleaner, some car shampoos can damage gels.
