Hi, I have had the handle of Rifleman attributed to me on various occasions over the years, primarily because of my last job in the army as a light inf sergeant , but also going back to the early seventies when i was a boy soldier with what appeared to be a natural instinct for shooting, I was a junior Leader in the RCT and my driving skills were crap, but I could shoot so my bosses in the RCT said "well if he cant make it as a driver then he will make a good Rifleman" Very Happy .

My Driving is OK now Wink so I am converting a 2000 SWB, Medium roof 2.5 DI transit into a camper hybrid.

Welcome, Rifleman, and I hope you get all the info you need from all these good people. And good luck with the conversion - it's a lot of fun creating your own 'van.

Hi Rifleman and a warm welcome.

Quite a handle (or should that be butt Smile )
Fire off the questions and you'll trigger a debate which will find someone here with the knowledge.
We are a friendly lot and hope you enjoy our company.

Hi Rifleman, I noticed your posts on uk.rec.motorcaravans, although I read them I gave up posting on there as I started to get loads of spam. Another good site for info on converting a van is http://www.sbmcc.co.uk/ best of luck on your conversion, if nothing else it gives you a good insight into the construction of a campervan. Visiting dealers & shows can give you good ideas & how proffesional builders get around some of the difficulties.
The best advice I can give is to plan out as much as you can & allow for the fact you will probably change/add/modify your van as time goes on. Fitting some type of conduit in the walls for future electric items would have helped me.

You've caused a stir already and got the ladies all excited......

I promise not to mention any corny gun innuendo's, although i did have my sights set on welcoming you first but they beat me to the draw. Wink

Onca again, welcome and look forward to all your posts.
