FWIW
I have had a Fujifilm S500 for the last three years after a disaster in the chopper over Niagara Falls with a film camera,... I still sweat over that one.
Anyway, after that fiasco I invested in the Fuji and I can only say it is the best camera I have had so far. Apart from just discovering it is not suitable for digiscoping but that is hardly the cameras fault.

Hi Shen
Although I now use a Canon Eos 5d I a Fujifilm S1pro was my first digital camera. Back then they cost £2500 just for the body! From each portrait sitting we would blow up a 20x16 inch enlargement. Not once did we have a customer complain about quality.
Fuji have always been superb at rendering good skin tones. At one point we employed 4 photographers and had a bank of five S1s. Occasionally as you would expect we had breakdowns. We would take the camera to Bedford and they would repair while you waited. I decided to invest in a £4500 Nikon D1s which broke down within a week with a shutter problem, it took Nikon four months to repair!!.
I can fully reccommend Fuji also
