Having just bought our first van, I am wondering what everyone uses for fresh coffee, simply a caffetiere or some fancy gadget? Have been looking at one of the aluminium expresso makers that I guess just go on the hob.

Yes I do have the stove-top expresso maker, but I only use that on very lazy days. Most of the time I use filter coffee, which has the advantage of chucking the grounds neatly in the bin, rather than leaving you to clean things and the grounds clogging up the waste.

Hi, as a french fan of good café, I use a aluminium "cafetière italienne" (italian expresso) which requires only gaz, and provides an excellent coffee (french or italian style)...

cost around 30 Euros for 12 cups. try the the word on the Web, a lot of to buy.

Enjoy,

Christian
