Had a look at this phone today. Anyone know if they are good for internet access? I know there is no camera but that's not important to me, thinking of getting one on T-Mobile with web n walk.

I've used an E61 for the last year and it is very good. Only disappointment is lack of 'Office' programs which are in the handbook but not on the 'phone. Nokia say that Vodafone would have supplied without.

I've found internet access very quick - I've used it to look up postcodes and addresses for entry to my TomTom.

Hi,

E61's are great for internet access. I use mine on it's own or via a laptop (bluetooth) with no problem at all.

Office programs should be installed. We have 20ish of them here all from Vodafone, so just run an update and they should install.

If you want advice on how to connect to the Internet via bluetooth, have a look at the website...

Just PM me if you want any further info and I will get one of my E61 specialists to give you a reply.

It depends how you will use it for internet access. I use a T-mobile Vario II with a decent keyboard integral to it.

Hi MarkM, I wonder if you can help with this. I connect to the internet on my laptop using nokia suite. On the settings i use E61 modem then on the next page i use T-Mobile UK. This connects no problem the only glitch is that Live Messenger can't connect. This is important to me as my son has just had a job offer in Australia and it would be great to be able to communicate via messenger. My E61 is on T-Mobile Web n Walk. I understand Live Messenger is not supported on the phone but I thought it would work on my laptop. Thanks in anticipation. Very Happy
