I want to tow a car on an A frame, will the car be covered by the motorhome insurance or the car insurance? Has anyone experience of this?

There's a write up on on towing with an A frame in September's MMM (page219).
It's well worth reading if you are thinking of towing a car with your motorhome.

As the car is being towed, it legally becomes a trailer and the MH insurance should have a trailer endorsement on it.

thanks,
there is a clause in the MH insurance (safeguard) but this only appears to cover public liability etc. and not damage to the car. Does the car insurance cover damage to the car and would this be an extra cost on the insurance?

Yes, as the car is legally classed as a trailer, it can only be covered for public liability while BEING TOWED.
The cars own insurance covers all other classes that you have paid for within your premium.

Thanks,
Got it clear now. The car insurance covers any accidental damage to the car and the motorhome insurance covers the third party trailer aspect.
