Just before you bin the system can you not alter the skew angle. I think I remember reading something about that improving the signal in Spain - or was someone else spinning me some c**p.
You do have to alter the sky box when that far south - have you done that?

On the Maxview you can alter the skew - although I have never needed to as it get a great picture -- sorry.

kuku, keeping my mouth shut firmly about Camos in Spain as i have been insulted enough by people who think the thing is the bees knees, at around £2000 for an all singing, dancing, inmotion 40cm dish (thats the clue) i reserve the right too stay stum.

I am going for a Camos Dual LNB shortly. From my research it does say quite clearly that it will work throughout France and ok to Barcelona but further south than that you will have problems.

These are the 1st 3 results from a google search for
+camos +dome +satellite +spain

All of them state that it will only work so far down.

Did it work ok before you got that far south? If so I think that you may have either been missold this device. If you were advised it would work down that far I think you have the basis for a refund as it is not fit for the purpose bought?

If on the other hand you weren't advised then a little bit more research prior to spending on a device this expensive might be necessary. Its not the products fault I don't think.

Please don't take offense at this response it is not meant to be. Just blaming a product for not being able to do something that it is not designed to do is a little on the harsh side.

Would be interested to hear how you found it when using it within its design zone though.

Karl

You know what... it sure does make me smile when I look outside at the crank up on the Dethleffs... that puppy works perfectly and only cost £350.

I hear nothing but bad reports about camos systems in deepest Europe and as much as people try to defend them, the point remains that they are ONLY a 40cm dish.

Didn't anyone ever tell you snelly that size isn't everything lol.

The beauty of the camos is because it is covered in a wind proof dome it won't be blown around. This allows you to reduce the size of the dish. It also means the driving motors can be smaller and more accurate.

Now bearing in mind that the standard sky dish is 53cm and is held in place by huge clunking bolts that are hard to adjust finely and is subject to wind it is sized pretty good. With the camos being enclosed and finely adjustable by the system the smaller size does make sense.

As for working in deepest europe. I am not sure where you are refering to lol. If you look at the satellite footprint providing you are within that you should be ok....

Bob, you must of heard of "no more nails". Well, the plan is, if I ever go to Spain, im going to attach a larger dish to the crank up with no more nails. Job done. Laughing
