Different mounting Clive. The earlier posts refer to the lights on an S-Class of the same vintage as our Hymers. However, whereas ours are accessible only from the rear, the S-Class has a cover plate moulding at the front, surrounding the lamps, which can be unscrewed to access the lamp units. Once inside, I think the lamp fittings are the same in both S and B-Class / B Star-Line.

I have spent ages with mirrors, inspection lamps, skinned knuckles and a stiff neck trying to access the locking screws that prevent, or allow, rotation of the dipped lamps. I have tried this from the bonnet and with the skirt removed, but so far, I have never been able to access the 'third screw' that sits behind the lamp raising/lowering device.

So for now, it's still stick-on beam adjusters for me!

Hi Philip,

Yes I realised it was a later vertion and the access is a lot better.... if I recall the the front skurt, the two wheels, and the internal plastic gards were all removed.... can't realy recall it but it was a real pain!! the eastern contental artic units dont seem to bother changing their lights... may be they have the right idea..... me thinks its time for another walk about in france soon..... might have to go and look up sat and pc guy as well depending on work Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes
