Chirs> have you done Hard Knott in a M/H? I have done it in a car and on my Cycle and that was bad enough.

Sally> if you did Wrynose no problem, I would not worry. There carnt be that many roads that are much worse than that?

Thanks everyone for your advice. We are off to the Newbury Show today to have a look at smaller vehicles but I am tending towards sticking with the 748 as it really is a great van. We are hoping to spend 2 months in France later this year and I think we will appreciate it all the more over there. However I am not the driver having to negotiate the little lanes so I may be over-ruled yet!!
I guess as a couple have suggested we have to decide what we are prepared to compromise on and what is most important
Have any of you been ski-ing in a 748 or 747? How does it cope on the steeper slopes to the campsites in the Alps?
Thanks again

Hi

I would keep the van - I reckon it is a cracker. Stick to the bus routes and take a tow car!
