I know where Vic is coming from. At a tenner this wealth of readily available information is about as cheap as it can possibly get. There just isn't anywhere else where you can get this sort of information and support.
I don't know just how many lurkers there are out there, but with respect Nuke they don't have to search the site. All you have to do is wait a couple of weeks and just about every subject you can image to do with MHs appears before your very eyes.
Now l don't mind, but it's the people that readily volunteer their time and money to run this wonderful place, that l feel are sort of being cheated ( albeit they may not feel that way ).
I've been a lurker on this site (under a different username) since Aug'06.
I kept putting off subscribing, more out of laziness than meanness, but I eventually (today!) took the plunge.
My view is that the access available to "guests" is just about right - any less and you run the real risk of losing potential subscribers because they will not discover just how cost-effective subscription is: if the "free" bits are this good, it's a "no-brainer" to subscribe!
In the time I've been lurking, there have been many instances that I have gained worthwhile information, and a few times when I could have contributed. That is why I've subscribed.

I thought long and hard before asking this question, simply because l don't want to appear to be unwelcoming - and after all l'm not one of those that devote hours of their personal time to making this site such an easy accessible place. Therefore please do not take this question the wrong way, but :
" if it's such a no brainer to subscribe " why did it take nearly twelve months for you to get round to joining us ?
As l say, l don't want to offend, l don't want to put you off, we really are a most helpful and friendly bunch, the amount of things l have learnt and information l have acculmulated is amazing, it's more my curiosity that seeks an answer to the question.
If you don't feel inclined to answer the question, then that's OK. Hope l don't incur the wroth of the moderators for this, but l'm just interested.
