Hi

We have just sold our Marlin 23 which we had a Honda 225 on the back. We have done thousands of miles around Europe towing behind a Minnie Winnie. we were the best part of 60' all up Very Happy

PWS at Poole supply super winches which winch down as well as up (no freewheel) This and a front tow bar meant total control to launch with the Winnie. The Super Winch hooks on to the tow ball and is remote controlled so one man launching is possible, but two up is fine.

cheers

Eddie

hey eddie
thanks for the input there, i have been considering a winch for mine as a way of getting up and down slips, i am going to try some ropes as a cheap option first but it is good to know someone has used the winch method, i will use proper 7.5 tonne shackled tow ropes as these will be good for when we use the car anyway

ps i grew up in taunton, staplegrove area
