Yes WAP content is free from O2, but html content is blocked so you can't connect up your laptop and surf the internet for free. T-Mobile is a pound a day on PAYG.
Just about to buy a Nokia E61. Quad band, 3G, infra red, and bluetooth. Free hand set and £27.50 on T Mobile Web n Walk this includes £34 call time a month. I think this is a good buy as there is no limit on web usage.

Thanks for that Paul, bought the Sony Ericsson K610i today from Argos, reduced from £149.99 to £74.99, very pleased so far with it, but need to buy a car charger, my Sony Ericsson T601 has a different connection.
The phone does everything I would want it to do so I think it is a good price, T-mobile certainly seems a good deal, with "everyone" tariff at 12p a minute X network and £1 a day for internet access with web & walk.
I had the 3 network which was 10p a minute but 45p X network and I could not use the phone as a modem, so I think I will cancel this account and stick with T-mobile.
I have been using my motorola V3 connecting through Orange GPRS but now will not work.
It connects still but cant open a webpage.
right now i have ordered the sim card what do i need to do next put it in my V3 and get in unlocked?
Or get a thing that slots in visa vi before i had wifi on my laptop?

I'm a bit confused by the popularity of T-mobile. I went into the local phone shop to get some advice on mobile internet. I was told by the salesman, who claimed to be an expert, that T-mobile coverage outside of London was rubbish and that 3 offered better coverage and was cheaper. The fact that they sell T-mobile, but don't sell 3, made the argument rather convincing, as he was doing them out of some business. Assuming that most people here spend most of the time in rural areas, it seems a bit odd.

t-mobile is popular on MHF because no one else comes close to matching it's cost of internet access in the UK. It may not have the best 3G coverage but GPRS is good enough for many mobile internet users.
