I bought a Sanyo multifrequency telly of a campsite rep for 75 euros. Has scart, a V extended aerial, remote, and I think is 14 inches. Not sure if this is a good price or not but too late now if it isn't. But in my m\home, I have fitted and wired in and working a maxview booster but the aerial on the roof has been replaced by a white blob of sealant.

Is it possible just to get the aerial bit or will I have to buy the full monty. If I have to buy the full monty, may I just as well stick with maxview or is there better and more to the point cheaper.

Think you have to buy the full monty. If this is the case you would do well to aviod the flying saucers as they really are weal. The wire framed multi directionals seem to get better press.
Just recently I have been using TVs own rod aerial and getting better results than via the Status + Amplifier

Pusser,

If you want the convenience of a permanent roof mounting, then:

keeping cost down:

paying for quality and performance, have directional one of:

If you are prepared for inconvenience of mounting a pole off the roof, then a cheap and performance solution:

Thanks Doger and Dab - I think the rod aerial fits my budget so I will give that a whirl. Plus of course I can try connecting to the existing maxview amplifier to see if that does anything at all.

Many thanks again - Puss

0 = Bugger all

02 = Unhappy campers

z = Happy campers

x= Status (flying saucer)

y = Maxview amplifier

Therefore, x + y = z Smile Smile Smile

So much for theories Confused

Actually, x + y = 0, therefore 0 = 02 Question

Can anyone explain where I went wrong Crying or Very sad
