Hi all, paid for and downloaded onspeed to my mobile phone, and received the password, question is how do I use it?

Current set up for internet access is via laptop using mobile phone as a modem, do I need to activate it somehow, should I see an Icon on the taskbar? The website is not clear on usage, what should I be doing if anything?

Thanks for replies ..Dave Wink

Dave - I think the mobile phone version is just for mobile phones. For a laptop you need the ordinary version.

You should be able to download and install it on the laptop and then use your name and password to log on to the service.

I wonder if I've downloaded the wrong bit Embarassed ..but then again in order to download onspeed, you need to be connected to the internet, I thought it was the modem (i.e. mobile phone in this instance) that compresses and speeds up the data transfer,..now I'm confused? Confused

Hi Dave

I would say you have downloaded the wrong one. The one I have is the normal one that I downloaded to my laptop. Simply then run the install program you have downloaded as you would any program.

Then it looks after itself. When an internet connection is made it comes to life and does its job.

Hi Oldenstar

Depends what broadband speed you have. Normal 1 gig plus speeds probably not and with some it actually slows it down
