Yup, tried that, no difference. When I zap all the error messages I can get in and the first three messages (of mine, never see any responses) go up, then it hangs. Also, none of the icons at the top are working, eg sound on/off, dice on/off.
Has anyone seen me in there recently? 'Cos I haven't seen you!

Gill

The chatroom seems to be a COMPLETE waste of time on this machine, I wouldn't mind but it was fine the first time, now I get half of it up, then it hangs, when eventually it seems to be operating I only get my own messages up - NO responses - then the next message disappears god knows where and none of the buttons work. Twisted Evil As a grand finale just now I got the message "sorry, you can't access this file directly". YOU'RE TELLING ME!
I have tried all the suggestions made but none of them have made any difference. Thanks guys, but it's obviously a much more serious problem.
VERY frustrating, especially as I need some light relief just now Twisted Evil
If any genius out there can think why it is being such a ba****d I will be everlastingly grateful for a fix.

Going off to kick the cat now.

Gill

I'm upgraded to xp2. The problem is there is no way of knowing if it will work until u try it. However, don't forget that if it is unsuccessful you can roll back. There is also a small prog from Microsoft that prevents installing XP2 for two years and it is here...

You can also see here what progs will not run on XP2

I think some accounts on here have probs and I suspect only opening up a new account will resolve the issue. Mine is the inability to post pix actually on the forum.

Gill,
We could see your messages but you obviously could not see ours.

I think your Javascript could be shut off on that machine.

P.S. go easy on the cat!!

HOLD ON GILL.
You sound like someone who has picked up spyware!!!!!!
Download the file below onto your machine and run it, It is free to keep and run it as often as you wish.
It will clean up all spyware that have lodged on your disk.In fact EVERYONE should have it on their PC.

Brez,
tried your link, brilliant, took a while but it picked up 21 red warnings which then got zapped. I actually had a chat cheers cheers cheers tonight - and the top icons are working - BUT still getting script error messages on entry, and altho' I exit correctly it throws me back in so I have to exit again Shocked
Will look into the javascript settings tomorrow, getting a bit late now
