After the birthday bash, we took the opportunity to drive to one of our local sites to see how things would work living out of our rv. So were parked on our pitch, getting ready for work and getting the boys ready for school. I must say, we could of had nicer weather, its chucking it down! Were here until Friday... will be interesting to sample the fulltimers lifestyle.
How is it going?
How many times have you or Sally been home?
Are you managing to keep dry?
Is your dog still in the RV with you?
Is this a real test or just a sort of holiday?
Let us know all the details of your trial good and bad.

Strange, but I still feel like I am on holiday even though I am working full time!
Sell the house mate! LOL
Seriously, a test run is an excellent idea, and if you can put up with it in horrendous weather, the best is still to come.

Take me somewhere I can breathe
I´ve got so much to see
This is where I want to be

the only thing that I still can't quite get used to is a mild claustrophobia..
You can only walk so many paces before you have to turn around..
hard to describe..
I know my van isn't a monster.. but after 5 months in it, I can't sit around in it too much when it's daylight outside..
Luckily I have a lot of countryside to take walks in..
what I really want is a rescue dog, a retriever would be ideal.. but I dont think a rescue centre would let me have one in my situation
Russel agree with the holiday feeling.. life has become a lot less .. serious.. now I have put myself in this situation.. if that makes sense.. not sure I can explain anything today
- was a wild windy night in the field, my favourite

We are full timing with Shane and Sally this week so will be giving them marks out of 100 at the end of it.
Their first night was adventurous - the campsite we were on was evacuated. Whilst lots left their vans behind Shane and I ran the police blocks as there was no way we were going to leave our homes behind.
We headed for high ground and saw a couple of caravans (both with transit vans) on the local rugby ground. We joined them and found out they were the recce patrol for a massive group of people getting together for a dog fight - I mean dog show
Today has been much, much better and we are back on the site.

As Stew said, we had to cope with a potential disaster in the form of a river about to burst its banks near the campsite on Monday night. We found ourselves on the rugby club car park right near my house, but I still didn't go home. In fact i've only been home once and that was to drop off a load of junk so we had room to move in the rv. I've been in the rv since last Wednesday and Im still quite happy. Suzy, yes we still have Ollie with us. I've been travelling to work and so has Sal. We have been dropping the kids off at school as normal. In fact life is pretty normal apart from were getting to spend quality time in the rv!
Downside... T Mobile is poor where we are, so internet is very patchy... although I havent missed it that much, I do enjoy the broadband at work!

I am sure if you show them you have a stable home and all that land to walk a dog on then they ill let you have a rescue dog in a flash!!
