Well, finally got the MH back from having MOT done and now all is go. Yeeehar.... Razz

Off for a drive at the weekend and a rear indicator bulb blows, so I take the lens off and a pile of rust drops out of the light unit and the bulb is seized solid. Rolling Eyes I managed to replace the bulb and get the indicator working again but methinks I need a new pair of light units. I don't think I have a standard setup (1985 Mistubishi L300 van with MH body) so I'm looking for a pair of horizontal, rectangular trailer lights that have reversing lights as well as brake/light and indicator. Does anybody have any suggestions about where I might find a pair? I've checked the web and local motor shops but trailer lights don't seem to include reversing lights.

Also, I'm thinking about a trip to Ireland in March next year so any hints/tips or stops for this time of year would be mucho welcome. Also any possible stops local to me (Kent) for my first overnight trip sometime in the next few weeks.

Thanks in advance

Chasyb

Hi chasyb

You seem to have been unlucky with your question. It's unusual to have had no help at all.

A small suggestion from me.
Why not repost the technical bit of your post in one of the 'Mechanical and Technical' forums where one of the more technical guys may well see it.

Good luck.

Hi Chasyb, With your van being 1985 it is possible that the converter who made the body is from the "Glendale" type of converter, and they were mainly from the Hull Immingham area, and now not converting. So you could try scrap yards, I think there are posts about Caravan scap yards in the Derbyshire area, few and far apart. My point is it might not be a Mitsubishi part.

Hi chasyb;

When you do find a set of light units for your m/home, can I suggest drilling a small hole at the bottom of each lense cover, the water can then drain from the light units preventing future rusting problems.

pete.
