I have the sad task to tell those of you who do remember him that he passed away, peacefully in his sleep this afternoon, after a long illness.
Bill was a great supporter of this site from its earliest days, always giving good practical suggestions, advice and help for all. He was a great 'debater', pedantic, often irritating but most of all a huge friend who I loved dearly.
His contribution to motorhoming, as advocate, advisor and friend to those in need will be sorely missed.
He was a big man in every way.
Our thoughts are with his family and close friends.
I wonder if a moderator will move this to the in memory forum.
I have just spent a short while looking fondly at some of his previous posts.

I wll always remember BillD re his helpful posts...whatever you enquired about, he was there with a reply, no matter what you asked!!

There is always sadness when a friend passes on, and BillD will be remembered by many as he was one of us old-timers who has seen the site grow from the early days.
Sincere condolences to his family and all those who were near and dear to him.
