I received a call today to say our Knaus Sport Traveller 700DG is ready to pick up at Joeressens in Germany - hurray!! Of course I can't contain myself and would dearly love to go over tomorrow but have a slight hitch with insurance. Whilst I can find plenty of companies happy to insure an individual private user, Iim having difficulty locating anyone who will insure it as a company vehicle. ie. in the company name.

I'm guessing that the insurance needs to match up to the name on the log book (which will be the company name as we are VAT registered and want to save the VAT on purchase) rather than just be in my name (although there are only two directors, including myself).

Anyone know of any companies that deral with this situation?

The registered keeper on the log book does not necessarily have to be the owner and in fact may be better being in the users name. As you are finding it is difficult and costly to insure company vehicles. I read your intentions but beware of all the other tax and NI implications in the vehicles use.
