I understand it is more work, but would it be possible to sub-divide the amazing amount of info available into different country headings?
I also understand one can do a search but sometimes this brings up ref to a country which was merely in passing when talking about something else, like French bread etc.
Sometimes I can remember that so and so (no offence anyone ) wrote a good article about a particular country and it would be great to be able to go straight to the country file and find it.
It might also require perhaps some double entries or cross references when articles refer to more than one country. It might also save the number of page downloads when on the move.
Just a thought as always
Many thanks and have a good and safe summer every one, and thanks again for all the terrific info. posted by so many people.
Much appreciated.

Moved to "new feature requests" And well done for pointing out there had been no reply.
So, a write-up on a tour would still go into "Motorhome Trips" or into the Blogs section, but then we could also transfer a section on a particular country into the 'Country' Forum. As in information about a country as a destination. Could be useful, especially for countries like Croatia and Hungary, less well travelled.
We'll see what Nuke thinks
Thanks for the suggestion.

There was an earlier 'request' for a better index for the Blogs perhaps that could be part of it.

Well, teasingly, of course I would hate to do a blog search as well as a Forum search, and as I can't see what the former gives over the latter, one way is to stick to Forums
But to save you all waffle wittering tyes leaping to the defence of blogs, a better idea would be to introduce the llllloooooonnnnnnnnngggggggg awaited (well, OK, by me) MHF Wiki functionality, whereupon we can all contribute permanently the hyperlinks/ references, whether blogs or forum postings, to an ever increasing list of topics, all cross-referenced.
It then does away with the calls for "other people" to write FAQs all their waking hours.
And, this is REAL heresy, it may even get people dipping their toes into actually finding information for themselves.
There, 4 MHF problems cured with 1 solution.
I'll have a go at a miracle tomorrow

Funny you should mention "Wiki". As you may remember from previous discussions, the phpNuke system has a Wiki plugin.
A few weeks ago, I told Nuke I'd have a go at getting it into some sort of shape so we could start entering data. I spent a little time on it, but found it a bit heavy going. As one of your "waffle wittering types", I find blogs far easier to manipulate.
My schools are out this week, and I've got a couple of days of sitting around, waiting for new computers to 'build' themselves onto the networks. I'll have another look at it, and see what I can create.
Nice idea to use a Wiki to create this information structure, although I'm not sure how many people would be happy to navigate away from the forum and into a different format, but if the structure was well formed and straightforward, it might work.
