Logically of course, the stats direct that Gillian should go through them again, tagging by France Region or Department, and have a separate forum for each one of those.

Only joking, Guys and Gals (especiialy Gillian!) but it was my poor attempt at humour to re-inforce my valid earlier point - manual sort/ index yuk, computer search painless and simple.

Dave.

good idea Frank, when you say poorly indexed, do you mean by Google ?

Blogs are only indexed by contributer or by most active not by country Dave. So unless you know X has been to Y and written a blog you can't find it. There is no blog search facility. AFAIK

Thats ok for search meisters Dave but a lot of people on here don't even know about the real search button as opposed to the google version.

Brilliant Dave, worthy of an announcement I think. Just have to lose throwaway mentions of other holidays in Blogs now though Embarassed

I thought this perfectly logical idea worth mentioning this morning (as a gentle joke) but did not have the heart or confidence to try to pull it off without causing upset. Laughing So full marks for the audacity.

The blog search together with the Continental Touring subsections is a great plus.

All the info on "other" countries outside one's research is and will remain pretty addictive stuff though. Wink

Well done to all and many thanks on behalf of all (sounds pretentious, but I hope you know what I mean). Rolling Eyes

As ever would still prefer Scandinavia to be split mind you. Embarassed Then it really would be pretty nearly perfect. Laughing

Excellent work, Gillian, and so quickly after the forums were added.

You're right, Dave, but then you do have people who like to browse, rather than search for specific information. If I was thinking about a new country to visit, I might browse through the new forums to get a 'feel' for the country and what it's like for motorhomes.

Nice to see so much positive feedback for this new feature Very Happy
