Christine - what would steel do? My views would be chop it off, but...

I think it was an old belief that putting steel on a wound - like laying a knife blade on it for a minute - would make it heal faster. I do not think granddad belived it but we kids asked him to do it if we hurt ourselves. Very Happy

Morning Frank, and all,

Frank, you beat me to it, as I thought I was first on, and have edited my post accordingly. Wink

Today sees us having a quick browse around Broonfools stock of MHs, then lunch, and then a walk into Newark, hopefully getting back before the predicted bad weather arrives. Confused That's the plan anyway. Laughing

Whatever, wherever, and with whomever, have a good weekend folks.

Cheers for now,

Jock.

P.S. It's not AandK we are with, it's "Angie" as they are known on Facts. Embarassed

Good morning Frank, Jock.

Frank Escape to FB Laughing

Jock Are you looking for a new MH?

Cheesed off with COMET! Was buying a new cooker (paid for it). Given a delivery date of next Sat. Was offered Wed. Phoned y/day to see if we could bring the date forward. Only to be told we are not on the delivery list! 12 of said cookers due in but we are not one of the 12 to be receiving one!

So asked when any more were due in, no idea they say. But you have given me a delivery date! We would have been waiting for nothing!
Just as well I phoned. As they had no idea when we could expect our cooker I have cancelled the cooker order and asked for a refund

I am not impressed with their service. When we ordered in store we were told none in stock but they were due in and given a delivery date.

Needless to say I have complained to head office.

Have since found one at Appliances online with a delivery on Monday Very Happy Just need to make sure Comet return my money.

Hard frost here but no snow. Have a good day everyone.

Absolutely not, and if we were, it wouldn't be from this particular dealership. Wink
No Rita, we'll just be killing time by looking around. TBH, we have not yet seen another layout that we would swap for ours, and even if we ever did, we're not in the financial position of "doing a deal" anyway. Wink

Cheers,

Jock.

Good morning Frank, Jock, Rita and all.It' frosty out there this morning and we're supposed to have snow overnight.

Frank, I managed to translate your early morning post - I guess it was the ipad's fault. Wink Laughing I'm on my netbook at the moment and I make many more mistakes on it as the keyboard is smaller. Well, that's my excuse. You're right, we are a bit thin on the ground these days.

Jock, I hope you make it back before the snow.

Rita, we have a local electrical shop and I usually find the best price, go in armed with the info, he makes a couple of phone calls then price matches. Delivery is usually next day.

I'm off to my first pilates class this morning on the orders of the podiatrist. There are two left in this session and if I like it Sarah and I will join up for the next block. The idea is that this will help our muscles keep our joints in place. I hope I'm not too stiff to dog walk tomorrow. Laughing

Morning all

A very cold start here, frosty but clear and sunny already. Heavy snow is forecast but I doubt it.

Shopping - John Lewis online are reliable but not always the best price.

Newark - if you see any black trains with an orange stripe whizzing through, then you must wave! I am something to do with it in some form or other!

Need food. Not sure what I fancy but the fridge is bare almost. Plenty of overtime but no time to spend it!

Doggy - more known on Monday. A three year old Jenny look-a-like.

Russell

Found a decent place for the MH outside my brothers flat. So now I've agreed to drive Mr. Daisy monday and tuesday.

Russell can't you get one of those train meals? Very Happy
