I see we have a night owl thread now.

This reminds me of a poem and I've just looked it up

My candle burns at both ends
It will not last the night
But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends -
It gives a lovely light!

Morning all,

Not early I know, due to extremely late finish.

H, welcome back, and I look forward to reading about the trip.

Frank, I was down your way (ish) yesterday, ie Southampton, (Nursling Industrial estate), down near the docks. It's all I ever get to see of the place unfortunately.

Don't know yet, which Grand Metropolis I shall be visiting today. Rolling Eyes

Jock.

Just back and first on!

Throwing it down here, but don't care, as off for lunch with father at the Malvern Hills Hotel Very Happy

I have to honestly say, that we couldn't have had a better holiday if we had taken a chance on France. We had good weather and Ian had direct access to the beach at Pentewen and Nodes Point, so he had a whale of a time and, in truth, he made it for us too.

Pentewen site is great and I can't praise it highly enough. Lovely village and a great pub, 10 mins to Mevagissey and St. Austall on the bus, or 5miles to St. Austall on the cycle path. We are definitly going back!

Nodes point was, on first impression, dreadful. We refused to have our pitch, as the toilet block STANK Evil or Very Mad There was open public access and the place was being abused and the new porta loos were locked because of it. We got it sorted and then enjoyed the whole thing, as the new toilet block, with coded entry, was Fab.Great little restaurant on the beach front and rocks(mountains!!) for Ian to climb. Mind you, we were not best pleased about being told that the Causeway into Bembridge was a great cycle, only to find that there were TWO sets of steps halfway, which meant folding the trailer up and carrying it and the bikes. Ian was most amused, as he was talking to the ducks!. Not the best cycling though as a lot of pushing.

We still feel great from the hol, so we couldn't ask for much more. Debs has made great progress and was really chuffed with being able to enjoy the cycling again. Just waiting for the Cognitive Therapy assessment and then we should know how things are going, with going back to work.

Stay Safe gang. H

Good morning all.

Great to see you back H and to hear that you've had such a good time. I guess you chose the best time weather-wise - before the school holidays! Laughing

Pleased to hear that Debs is improving too.

First today

Morning EBs

Think of me at 11 when a dentist will be extracting the root of my broken crown. I keep on telling myself it will be a doddle but as my own dentist referred me to a specialist perhaps it won't, anyway I will survive..... I expect Sad

Good morning Frank and others to follow.

You beat me to it while I was catching up on last night's posts - I must learn to post first!

Still, I can get my own back by thinking of your ordeal today. Laughing
Hope it's not too painful - apart from to your wallet.

Have a good one.

Viv
