Bajmoe

I've just insured my first motorhome - a Ci Carioca 656 value 25,000 - best quote I had was from MCIA (Telephone 0870 366 1245)

I found them by far the cheapest for the equivalent cover - although obviously I can't comment on their performance if you have to claim. Others I've spoken to have had no problems with them though.

Never worry about what forum to post to, if it's wrong one of the mods will move it for you, and really good news is we don't charge Laughing Well not much !! My van is insured through the Caravan and camping club as with no previous insurance in my own name they gave me the best deal by far. It's time to get the phone out or browse the web and get some quotes, because reading previous threads about this it does seem that the cheapest and the best insurance is very tailored made for the individual, if you asked all our members they would probably have a different answer for you. It depends very much on your circumstances.
Sorry I can't give you a definitive answer, but I don't think there is one Wink

Hi bajmoe,

we've been doin' buisness with the MCIA for 3 years now (policy with NIG) and have been delighted with them, i'd recommend them but make sure you do loads of ringing round other brokers and companies before making a decision. One bit of advice, the cheapest ain't neccessarily the best.

pete.

Hi BAJMOE ,

Welcome to the site, hope your purchase of your first motorhome goes well, you must be very excited!

You could try Comfort Insurance, they are very good also.

Regards
Julie

Hi Bajmoe

Hope all goes well with the new MH and enjoy your travels, we have. Smile

hi Bajmoe we have been with Caravan Guard 0800 652 3696 for several years they are very good.have a motorhome section so you are talking to people who understand your needs. What i liked was you have add too's to basic cover. We did have a little bump a few years ago, they were brilliant.Best wishes with your new toy, best thing we ever bought.
