Would those affected by water ingress into engine with Fiat Ducato please add your details here so that we can counter the "never heard of that before " syndrome. Please leave following details
Grizzly and Safariboy ( full names by PM if necessary ),
Marquis Berkshire,
Bessacarr E 530, 130 Multijet engine, X250 cab
Water running down windscreen into engine due to gap between scuttle and glass. Some of the nuts on the injector now rusty. Noticed when new, 23/02/2007
6 clips to pull the rubber seal closer to windscreen and new scuttle fitted by local Fiat dealer (Hartwells of Abingdon) This finished -needed 2 trips-24/07/2007
Clips seem very flimsy- one broke first time- so we wonder how long this will be effective.

Chris ....... Marquis Sussex,..... Bessacarr E 560, 130 Multijet engine, X250 cab
Water running down windscreen into engine due to gap between scuttle and glass. Injectors now rusty. Delivered 23/07/2007
Phone call today (26/07/07) from Fiat to say that engine cover being made in Italy and Fiat dealer would fit September! But no answer to Scuttle/Gutter, that is the cause.!!!!!

Water running down windscreen into engine bay due to foam and gap between two halves of scuttle and unplugged holes in scuttle. Water sits on camcover and drips down onto box of electronics. Injector collars now showing signs of rust. Two very rusty screws on steering fluid reservoir. Collected 13/07/2007 from dealer.
Reported to dealer (no action other than arranging visit to Fiat dealer); Fiat dealer during visit last week who agreed problem and will come back when they get answer from Fiat; and Fiat UK where we have a case number but no further info. Fiat UK rather cagey which I took as 'Yes we know but do not know what to do yet!'

Hi any photos of this problem-leaking on to electrics- so that us none P/C/F owners can look at the problem? Someone may come up with a fix that seams to elude fiat etc, and save breakdowns for owners.
terry
edit can you fix a plaky bag over electrical bits like i had to do years ago on mini distributer

Went to my local dealer
Well's it's not affecting the performance is it?
I'm not saying it's a fault it might be designed to run down that grove there! (there is in fact a grove)
I said what all over the injectors and the electrics which are now rusty.
So they say they will write to fiat and see what happens
bloke said give me your number "in case" they get back to you
I said THEY'D BETTER!!!!!
I have already emailed Brownhills, swift and fiat and think I will include the AA as we get free membership from them. Is there anybody else who might give them an arm twist?
