All good points and I will add them to the spreadsheet.

Bertha,
I'm afraid I don't follow you, could you elaborate?

Bognormike thanks for 'stickyfying' it

Nuke, I'll let you have the file when done.

Anymore with anymore?

Bryan

Is you premium based on my home address or where I store the MH?
Have had two different arrangements with two different companies.

Seemed illogical for Safeguard to insure our RV based on our home address when it was never going to be there.

Are these relevant?

a) No claims bonus.

I changed to M&S once as they were offering such a good deal only to discover that they required (think it was 5 yrs.) no claims bonus proof and my previous company only required 3 so that was all they had a record of for that preceding year. They had chucked away the previous proof I had given them, apparently. Now I have all my motor insurance documents since I began driving (yes, I'm a horder) but M&S would not accept these as proof of my no claims record. What a scam! They ripped me off for more money, took it from my credit card without even asking me.

b) Amount slapped on because you were caught doing 35 mph in a 30 mile limit road at midnight.

Yes, that was me , but generally I do approve of speed cameras and driving with regard for others.

c) Miles done per year. (Whoever knows)?

d) Whether garaged. (I'm thinking cars - suppose most motorhomes are not).

Good luck with your form.

Autumn

Is it worth adding trailers ?

I found with Saga for an extra Ģ9.00 they would insure a trailer.

How about 3rd Party Insurance (fire and theft only) when MH or RV is up for sale and not being driven on road.

I've got this problem now, as my RV is at Westcroft for sale and they have asked me to sign an agreement to say that I will keep the vehicle coverd under 3rd party insurance whilst it's with them for sale. (They will cover it fully whilst on any test drives, etc).

But, none of the Insurance companies I have spoken to will cover it 3rd party because of its value. So having to pay Fully Comp still for it to sit in someones yard -For Sale. Rolling Eyes

hi Anita you will probably find it cheaper to insure fully comp than 3rd party as more ins,co will quote. It is the same for young drivers now very few quote 3rd P that it is very nearly same F/Comp
