Found this ad in the Observer Music mag to day.
Anyone have more information than the website?
http://www.shrinkmytunes.com/en_gb/

Is it worth £20?

Hi bigfoot,

I would not bother paying for a programme to reduce the size of your mp3 music. Loads of free programmes can do that.

If no one comes back I will give you details tomorrow.

Regards

Chris

Hi, it's your choice if you think you could make use of it but there is plenty of free software available on the internet that can perform this task.

basically it is reducing the bitrate and quality of the files, enabling them to take up less space overall, searching along the lines of "mp3 size reduce" on google should pull up many results, if i get chance tomorrow i will point you in the direction of a good one. going to bed now though - up early for work Very Happy

Hi Bigfoot,

Simplest and most obvious programme to use is the free Windows Media Player 11

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/AllDownloads.aspx

When you download it you will see an option under 'Tools', 'Plug Ins', 'Windows Audio Convertor', it opens a new window and you click on 'Convert a Folder of Audio Files' click Next, select a folder click Next, Next again once confirmed and you have the option of choosing the size you require the files to be saved as. Experiment with what suits you.

Hope this helps,

Regards

Chris
