hi just downloaded a suite of free portable applications on to my usb memory stick, using firefox portable to write this, seems to work ok.

Never heard of there programmes before, just surfing and came across them. Not sure how useful they really are, as all mine computors are set up with similar programmes, but I thought I would give it a go.

Everything is a bit slower to load and operate as its accessing solid state memory (4 gig) takes about 260 meg for the whole suite, its basically a portable version of "open office" plus thunderbird and firefox. think I could be converted. Very Happy

Any chance of getting a bit more information on exactly what the program is called and where you got it?

I find it really handy, you can keep all your things on it , and access them from any computer by just plugging into the usb.

Ive got mine on a small sd card reader ( £1 from the pound shop), and a 1 gig sd card ( £8 morrisons).

PS. left it in my shirt pocket , so its been through a 40 deg wash cycle,
dryed out nicely and still ok.

You also get a sudoko game with it.
