I just bought one of these "camping" sets from Lidl here in Southern Spain for €109. It's based around a Silver Crest SL65/12 receiver. I wondered if the tiny dish would work here, and it appears the answer is no (didn't Lidl think of that?). After much wiggling and pointing of dish (and knashing of teeth) the only glimmer of hope is when I aim at what I think must be Astra 1. I get about 52% on the quality scale, which is below the 60% min to see a picture. So I either take it back or get myself a larger dish. But one of the original attractions was the compact dish, so...

How far south has anyone managed to see a picture on this thing? I'm at 37º latitude, just north of Gibraltar (but planning to go mobile soon).

I'm just northwest of Valencia. Got mine from Lidl last week. I can get Astra 28.2 (south beam only) so not BBC, ITV etc, here we need a 1.9m dish for the north beam.

I can also get loads and loads of channels on Hotbird, Hispansat, Astra 19.2.
