Which of these would you buy? Forums

Hi, I've finally decided to buy a naw satnav. I've narrowed the choice to either the TomTom 720 or 910 any opinions? Also will either of these units accept GPS coordinates rather than an address? Any help appreciated

Neither, as there is a new range of TomTom's rolling out at the mo, as ever they are much improved and even cheaper than the old units.

I have a 910 its been great for a year or so. Its main advantage is the hard drive but its not as easy to get mp3s on it (with a Mac at least) as it ought to be. That said it appears none of the new generation have the same storage capacity. Id also note that they dont charge an iPod but will play music and control one witch is of limited benefit especially as the line out is very quiet in my installation.

EDIT ... post code, lat/long, point on map, POIs, Favorites and Addresses are the input opnions

they all seem to find streets and places that don't exist - or worse did exist and are now under a reservoir!! however, we have TOM TOM Europe which does accept GPS co ordinates and wouldn't be without it! Razz

I've just bought a TT One XL Europe as I didn't want a 'swiss army knife' GPS with MP3, pic album, blue tooth phone etc ..
It is excellent, comes fully loaded with all western europe maps and will accept GPS coordinates, easy and intuitive to use.. I highly recommend it.
Around £200

As a bonus the software works on the Mac Wink

I would agree with "Scotjimland". I have the TT one Europe, cost me 199 last year and does all I want from it. I even have Ossie Osborne swearing at me.
