what do you all think of the price the caravan club is charging for WI FI
we were at a site last week end who had this lux and wooh do they charge for the pleasure 6.00 PER HR OR SO THEY SAY but after 1\2 hr it goes off so you only get 1\2 at a time is this a rip off or what, Do they think we are all mad or just wealthy ex caravaners the answer is dont use it they will then look again at the prices Some CLs give this option Free So why not the CC sites. Makes T Mobile look inviting Bill

We've just come back from Europe and were pleasantly surprised by the widespread availability of wifi in towns and campsites even in the most remote places. Very often it was free but even when charged was a couple of euros per hour or similar. You got straight on to the internet too and did not need a sub to one of the providers as you do in places like UK service stations or McDonalds.
In France you have to provide your name and home address ( anti-terrorism measures) but the speed of most connections was very fast.

So that's why so many CC sites are in places where you can't get T-Mobile . I've been parking in lay-bys to get my daily internet fix, as the club sites in Scotland I've been using up to now have no signal. Been making up for it at this one though .

The only site I have stayed on with 'net access is the CCC at Teversal, priced at Ģ6 for 24 hours, Ģ10 for 48 hours.
On the other hand, at the municipal camping at Obernai, net access is not free after being recently introduced.
I have yet to find net access on an Italian site.

Morvich CC Site, 15 miles east of Kyle of Lochalsh. Don't really want to leave as it's so peaceful here, but I want to go to Skye . Shame I haven't got 3G, but then I might never leave .

Just had a quick look at the photos that I have got ready to scan in and found this. Its looking towards morvich on the track from the falls of Glomach and I reckon the camp site is just around the corner (about 4km away)

Thanks Frank. That saves me climbing to the top. I'm afraid I'm having a leisurely time and just doing a bit of cycling round the local lanes with Charlie . That's the problem with having internet access here .
