Does anyone use Be for their broadband connection? If so what do you think of their service?

I am probably moving house soon and intend to find a new supplier after being with BT since before broadband was available. It would seem to be a sensible time as I have felt for a while that I'm paying too much for the service I receive.

Be have just announced a drop in prices

and on comparison sites seem to be one of the better companies around.

I got the information here:

Hi

I use Be Broadband - although only for around 6 weeks or so. Its very good, extremely fast and reliable. Installed on time, no contract so can cancel on 90 days notice. I'm fairly close to the exchange in Winchester, and am getting 18Mbps down, 1.3Mbps up.

Use quidco to get cash back if you decide to sign up.

All the best.

I`ve heard only praise for BE.I know a few people that use it and they are well happy with the service.May end up with them soon myself cos at the moment i`m with Virgin, and we all know what that means... Laughing

steve

ps As post above you need to see how far away from the exchange you are.You can actualy do this from the BE THERE site I think.

Hi gillian

I have heard good stuff about Be but the services from them are not available here... are you sure they are where you are relocating to..

Mike

Also if you are an "old" BT customer maybe spend some time talking to sales there ( difficult I know) but I did and as an old customer of many years I was given all new equipment free ( home hub & Phone**) ..unlimited downloads, free phone calls after 6 & weekends and a new contract at a special one off reduced price for 12months £19/month.

** you do not "have" to use this new equipment ..I dont ..at the mo I prefer my netgear wifi router...I get about 5-6 meg DL ...not bad for out in the sticks. Wink

Just the thing for Motorhomers!!!!!!!

It was launched last Monday 8th. October 2007, but will take a few weeks (or months!) to get it set up and running.

It is certainly something which comes into my deliberations.

There is a fair bit of information about and I'm trying to home in on Europe and France in particular.
These are interesting:

My thanks to all those who replied.

I've got some time before I have to make a decision.
The idea of contacting BT and negotiating seems quite attractive.
